Generative AI Tools for Text generation and Data analysis

Inhalt

In this open educational activity, you will explore and experiment with generative AI tools that can support your work as a trainer in youth-work settings.
You will learn how to use AI for text generation, data analysis and translation, while also developing your critical thinking about opportunities and risks of AI-supported practices.

What you will do:
Step 1. 
Choose and test at least two different AI tools for training‐related work (e.g., ChatGPT, Mistral LeChat, Google Gemini, Perplexity).

Step 2.
Find below a few ideas directly related to your work as a trainer.
Data & Evaluation Analysis
→ Analyse and cluster the needs of your most recent course participant applications.
→ Analyse results of your latest evaluation forms (ChatGPT-5 Thinking or Gemini 2.5 Deep Research, or).
→ Analyse impact survey results and identify key insights (Gemini 2.5 Deep Research → click Create, choose Infographic or Audio).
Content Creation & Translation
→ Transcribe an image of a poster with lots of text and ask the tool to cluster similar topics.
→ Translate a method or training instruction into another language, then translate it back to validate accuracy.
→ Create a role play scenario on a given topic (for example, “AI ethics in youth work”).
→ Create Bingo cards based on participant applications

Add your own repetitive or creative tasks
→ Try something that normally takes you a long time (participant communication templates, course summaries, feedback clustering, etc.).
→ Reflect on which tool gave the most useful and trustworthy results.

Important reminders
Limitations & critical review
AI tools can hallucinate (invent or distort facts) — always double-check information.
AI outputs may reflect bias or oversimplify complex issues.
Use AI as a supporting partner, not a final source of truth.

Safety & privacy
Do not upload personal or confidential data (participant names, emails, addresses, evaluation files with identifiers).
Anonymise all sensitive details before using AI tools.
Free versions may store input data unless you disable sharing (see settings above).

At the end of the exploration, reflect how did you feel experimenting with these tasks and what are your insights or discoveries about using Generative AI for text/data in your trainer’s practice.
